Strathmore University teams will be away for crucial Kenya National Basketball League (KNBL) matches in Eldoret and Kisumu this weekend.

The varsity's Team Two, who top the Lower Division have a date with Western Delight while the boys meet Shoot-4-Life in Eldoret.

The Strathmore Swords who are fifth on 18 points face off against Eldonets as the Blades confront Platinum Eldonets in the men's tie.

The students will be in Kisumu on the following day to meet home-sides Kisumu Lady Bucks and Lakeside.

Blades coach Tony Ochieng said he is working on his boys' mental strength to ensure maximum concentration both on and off the court.

"Away fixtures are always tough games. The two away teams have been posting good results in their backyard but our plan is to avoid see-saw games by playing solid offensive and defensively," said Ochieng. 

The ladies' tactician Ronny Owino said he will miss Beryl Akinyi who is injured while Edna Kola and Sharon Ogaji are unavailable. "It will not be easy playing away with the trio, not in the team. But we will go out there and get the best possible results."

University of Nairobi teams —Dynamites and Terrorists— will also be in Eldoret to play Eldonets and Eldonets Platinum. The Ulinzi Sports Complex will host the Nairobi games, where Kenyatta University "Oryx" play Storms.

Umoja tackle Zetech University Titans and Ulinzi Warriors play Africa Nazarene University's Wolfpacks.
