The police officer who allegedly caused a motorcycle accident resulting in the death of a 22-year-old woman in Mpeketoni has surrendered to Malindi police station.
Police constable Mohamed Salim presented himself at the station accompanied by his lawyer James Mouko.
The two went straight to the office of Malindi subcounty criminal investigations officer Paul Wachira.
Mouko told journalists his client was not feeling well.
Salim allegedly threw his gun at the boda boda carrying Margaret Njeri in a bid to stop it, causing her to fall on the tarmac.
Njeri succumbed to the injuries on February 28.
