KPC crowned 2026 Genocide Memorial tournament champions after dominant win over APR

The Kenya Pipeline Volleyball Team are the 2026 Genocide Memorial Tournament champions after a commanding straight-sets victory over hosts APR in the final played at the Petit Stade in Kigali, Rwanda.



The Kenyan champions produced a dominant performance, controlling the match from start to finish to secure a 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-20, 25-15) and lift the coveted title.

KPC's dominance was also reflected in the individual awards, with Veronica Adhiambo named Best Outside Hitter, Sharon Jepkogei Arusei winning Best Libero, and Emmaculate Nekesa taking the Best Setter award, while Marian Sokoiyo scooped both the Best Middle Blocker and the prestigious Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.






The honours were a well-deserved recognition of the talent, teamwork and excellence that powered KPC to the tournament title in Kigali.

The triumph capped an impressive unbeaten run for KPC, who overcame strong competition throughout the tournament and demonstrated resilience, teamwork and a championship mentality.
