General Service Unit (GSU), Kenya Police Unit (KAPU) and DCI Queens booked their Kenya Volleyball National League playoff slots following impressive performances during the just ended regular season.
GSU finished seventh in the men’s regular season with 25 points while KAPU were eighth with 22.
They head into the playoff alongside leaders Kenya Ports Authority (39 points), Kenya Prisons (36), Chema (32), Equity bank, 31, Defence Forces (29) and Trailblazers (26).
Meanwhile, DCI were fourth in the women’s division with 22 points, trailing leaders and defending champions Kenya Pipeline (28), Kenya Prisons (26) and KCB (26).
Others are Post Bank (18 points), KDF (15), Kenya Army (12) and Nairobi Prisons (nine).
GSU enter the playoffs as the defending champions and as one of the favourites to win the championship, having maintained consistent performances throughout the season.
They have built their campaign on strong defence, effective attacks and tactical discipline.
KAPU made headlines earlier in the season after stunning GSU in a thrilling five-set thriller, proving their ability to challenge the league’s traditional powerhouses.
DCI Queens head into the playoffs determined to challenge for the national crown and cement their place among the country’s best sides.
The playoffs are due June 26-28 at the Makande Gymnasium (men) and Aga Khan Academy (women).
The federation has revealed the pairings with KAPU facing hosts KPA in the men’s opener while Pipelie have a date with Nairobi Prisons in the women’s fixtures.

Elsewhere, KVF will host the National Refeeeing Level Two and Coaching Level One August 3-9 at the Kitui Teachers Training College in Kitui. The courses seek to sharpen coaching skills or advance refereeing journey with experienced instructors expected to take the participants through theoretical and practical sessions. Interested individuals will pay Sh5,000 for coaching Level One, Sh6,000 for the refereeing Level Two.
