Focus has quickly shifted to Round Four of the 2026 National Motocross Championship set for the Jamhuri Race Track on July 12 following a thrilling Moto 3 meeting in Masinga over the Madaraka Day weekend.

The third round, organised by the Enduro and Motocross Sports Club (EAMSC), delivered a weekend of high-octane action, dominant class victories and intensified battles for national honours as the championship edges towards its halfway point.

Kigen Mutuma emerged among the standout performers after producing a commanding display in the MX85 category, sweeping all three heats to collect the maximum 60 points. Dylan Hatanga finished second with 49 points, while Lemayian Mugo completed the podium positions on 43.

Allen Ngoru also stamped his authority in the MX Peewee class, claiming victory in two of the three heats to finish with 57 points. Arie Kamau followed in second place on 37 points.

In the MX50 class, Dimitar Krachev-Malit continued his impressive run of form, completing a clean sweep of all three heats to secure a perfect 60-point haul. Zane Ngoru settled for second on 51 points, while Mozelle Momanyi rounded off the top three with 43.

Berry Noteea was equally dominant in MX65, storming to maximum points after winning all three heats. Thang'a Kihungi finished second on 51 points, with Jeremy Hawi taking third place on 38.

The veterans' category saw Anthony Nduati roll back the years with a vintage performance, mastering every heat to finish on a flawless 60 points. Chebi Kangogo claimed second place with 51 points, while Emmanuel Hakizimana secured third on 43.

Ngengi Kamau completed a perfect weekend in the MX125 class, powering to victory in all three heats to amass 60 points and finish comfortably ahead of Chemain Kangogo, who collected 51. Beyond the racing, Moto 3 showcased the growing footprint of motocross beyond its traditional strongholds as EAMSC continued its mission of taking the sport to different regions across the country.

EAMSC chairman Commissioner Daniel Muriuki said the impressive turnout of riders and spectators in Masinga reflected the sport's rapidly growing appeal, particularly among young Kenyans.

"That is why we at EAMSC decided to take motocross to the people across the country, and the enthusiasm shown by both riders and fans during the Masinga Moto 3 Championship underscored the need for more Kenyans to participate in future events," said Muriuki.
