Dilash Bhayani has hailed patience and precision as the driving force behind his team’s triumph at the Par-72 Sigona Golf Club, a victory that booked them a coveted place in the KCB East Africa Golf Tour Grand Finale set for December 5.

‎The quartet of Bhayani, D.S. Bhachu, Ashit Shah and Rasesh Bakhai reigned supreme in the 17th leg of the tour, carding an impressive 107 points to claim overall team honours over the weekend. ‎They edged the four-ball of Bhupinder Sehmi, Imran Nanji, Nishwal Shah and Gopal Savani, who matched their resilience but fell short on countback with 106 points. 

‎Both teams have booked their spots in the Tour’s Grand Finale set for December ‎5. ‎Speaking after the victory, Bhayani said his team came into the weekend's action with clear resolve. ‎“This win means a lot to us. We came ‎in with a plan, stayed focused on every shot and supported each other throughout."

‎"Golf is a game of patience, precision, and partnership, and today we proved what can be achieved when all four come together," Bhayani said.

‎Bhayani relayed his team's intention to put out a dominant display in the Grand Finale. ‎"We are thrilled to be heading to the Grand Finale and will be giving it our absolute best to bring he title home.”

‎In the individual standings, handicap 16m golfer Palkesh Shah delivered a stellar round, carding 41 Stableford points to take the overall winner’s crown, edging fellow 16-handicapper Pritesh Patel on countback. ‎Bethwel Ogwayo, playing off handicap 15, took the men’s winner’s title with 39 points, edging handicap 12 player Nasoor Verje on countback. ‎In the ladies’ category, Nirmla Devi (24) claimed top spot with 38 points, one ahead of Archana Sanger (16). ‎Division Two honours went to Winnie Ngethe (41), who delivered a remarkable ‎1-point performance. 

‎In the guests’ category, Nicholas Gathuru (15) topped the board with 39 points. ‎Among staff, Millicent Mello (20) edged Nelson Wanyoyi (25) on countback after both carded 32 points. ‎The juniors’ crown went to Reyaan Nanji (16) with 23 points. ‎Special prizes saw Daniel Karuga take Nearest to Pin, while the Longest Drive accolades went to Scola Onsongo (ladies) and G.M. Gitau (men). ‎The KCB East Africa Golf Tour now shifts to the Railway Golf Club on August 16.
