President William Ruto on Sunday joined congregants at the PCEA Joshua Matenjwa Memorial Church in Limuru, where he reaffirmed his commitment to national unity and pledged support for local development projects.
Several prominent leaders accompanied the Head of State, including National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi, Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, and ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo.

During the service, Ruto underscored the importance of national cohesion, saying it is critical for Kenya’s peace, growth, and prosperity.
“Unity is not just a spiritual value; it is a national
necessity,” the President said. “We must bridge all divides—ethnic, political,
and regional—to build a country founded on shared values and a common destiny.”

The President urged Kenyans across the country to support efforts aimed at fostering unity, adding that peace and togetherness are the foundation upon which development thrives.

In a show of support for the church’s development initiatives, the President pledged Sh5 million towards the completion of a perimeter wall being constructed around the church compound.
“You need support to be able to complete that wall,” Ruto told the congregation, encouraging them to remain focused despite any criticism or discouragement from outside voices.
“When they show up, do not listen to them. Let them continue
with the noise as you complete the project,” he said, drawing applause from the
faithful.
