The sponsorship, spread across two seasons, will see the school-based side receive Sh750,000 per season specifically to support the education of the players.
The support comes at a time when investment in women’s football is gaining momentum across the country. As more institutions commit to nurturing female talent, the sport is becoming a powerful tool for inclusion, mentorship, and social mobility.
In addition, KCB will supply training equipment, footballs and other essential resources to help the team grow both on and off the pitch.
“KCB is not new to Madira Soccer Assassins. Over the years, we have proudly partnered with the team to advance education for underprivileged talented girls while also supporting the growth of this beautiful sport,” KCB Football Club chairman Bramwel Simiyu said during the unveiling ceremony. "This is a partnership anchored not just in football, but in purpose and transformation.”
Madira, who made history in 2023 as the only school-based team to feature in Kenya’s top-tier women’s football league, is aiming to make an even stronger showing next season following their remarkable debut.
“This partnership with KCB is a game-changer for our team,” said Madira Soccer Assassins' director Alex Alumirah. “It not only fuels our sporting ambitions but also ensures our girls can pursue their education without disruption. We are building more than footballers and actively shaping future leaders.”
Beyond competition, women’s football is proving to be a lifeline for many young girls, offering scholarships, leadership training, and a platform to challenge gender stereotypes. For teams like Madira, football is more than a game; it’s a path to dignity, purpose, and progress.
