Black Mamba are going all out to derail Ulinzi’s march to the Kenya Handball Federation league title.

The Kaloleni-based sides' coach Abdalla ‘Viduka’ Otieno said they are ready for this epic tie slated for 4:30 pm at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.

The unbeaten soldiers are top of the standings with 39 points while Mamba are sixth with 29 points. The teams have played 20 games each.

“We are ready for the game. They will be surprised. Come Saturday, Ulinzi will fall as we surge for a top-six finish,” roared Otieno.

While Otieno promised to condemn Ulinzi to a first defeat, the soldiers’ coach, Nickson Oyaro, remained calm saying they have prepared well for the encounter.

“Mamba is a good team but we will play as per our training. We hope it works well for us,” said Oyaro.

Women champions and league leaders Nairobi Water Queens have a date with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Jkuat).

Jack Ochieng, the long-serving water tactician is confident in his charges, who have lost just once in 11 years.

“I have to retain the league” Ochieng stated.

General Service Unit (GSU) are beaming confidently after stopping Equity Bank in a 32-31 win and will bank on Paul Ondara and Christopher Mayiende as they tackle Nanyuki.

It will be two games for Jkuat as varsity rivals Technical University of Kenya (TUK) lurk.

Mamba return to the court on Sunday for a clash against Nanyuki. Jkuat play Engineers as Buccaneers meet Hunters.

Desert Scorpions will hope to keep their good form as they face Nairobi schools’ champions Inspired.

In the women’s show, second-placed Ulinzi Sharks will count of Sarah Wasike and Dorothy Machuma’s fine form as they battle Mountain Queens.
