The National Youth Service director general James Tembur has announced major changes moving top managers within the procurement department.
In the changes made through a notice dated April 2, Tembur said those affected must report to their new stations by April 12.
He stressed that the changes had been agreed upon for immediate implementation.
“The affected officers should be released to report to their new stations immediately, in any case not later than Friday, April 12, 2024,” he said.
The changes affect officers from the ranks of Senior Superintendent (SSP) to Inspector (IP).
Among the notable transfers include Joram Odinga who has been recalled to NYSPA from the Kisumu Field Unit for deployment, Peter Kiogothi from Tana Basin Road Project to MTB for deployment, and Jane Rugut from NSYPA to Turbo as head of procurement.
Others are David Mbogo who has been reassigned from NYSPA to Nairobi Holding Unit as head of procurement, Lucy Manene from NYS headquarters to NYSPA as deputy head of procurement, Yvone Cherotich from VTI to NYS Engineering Institute as head of procurement and Robert Osiro from NYS headquarters to Tana Basin Road Project as head of procurement.
All seven managers are in the ranks of SSP.
The changes have also seen Judy Muigai, a superintendent, from NYSPA named the new head of procurement at VTI, Abija Karanja as head of procurement at Tumaini from NYSTTI, Naivasha, Patrick Nyaga (NHU) at Yatta and Hellen Kola (NYSPA) as new head of procurement at Mavoloni.
Reuben Kotut moves from Turbo to NYSTTI to head the procurement, Phabian Wakhungu (NHU) to Kisumu in the same capacity, and Kenneth Kiprono (MTB) as the deputy in charge of procurement at Tana Basin Road Project.
Also affected in the deployment is Mercy Kariuki from NHU who has been recalled to the headquarters, Bravin Baraza to NHU from Mavoloni, Rose Akello from MTB to VTI, Eliud Wachira who moves from VTI to MTB and Esther Wanjiru from NYSPA also to headquarters.
Some 15 other officers will, however, remain in their stations.
The notice has been copied to regional and county commanders and the Director of Supply Chain Management.
