Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) President Charles Nyaberi has announced a 20-member provisional squad for each category for the 2023 East Africa Community Games later in the year.
The squads comprise a mixture of youth and experience.
In the women's category, Joy Luseneka, who has been out for a while, has been included among the three setters set to battle for the two slots.
She will compete against the Kcb duo of Emmaculate Nekesa and Esther Mutinda.
Malkia Strikers' captain Mercy Moim highlights the outside hitters category.
The experienced hard-hitting attacker is joined by Juliana Namutira, Pamela Adhiambo, Leonida Kasaya, Jemima Siang'u, Sarah Namisi and Pamela Masaisai.
Kcb captain Edith Wisa, Belinda Barasa, Trizah Atuka and Lorine Chebet are the middle blockers.
The liberos include Agrippina Kundu, Elizabeth Wanyama and Linzy Jeruto.
The men's squad is equally formidable and is expected to make a strong impact at the tournament.
