100 cyclists to grace Mountain Bike Championship at Naro Moru

The race will feature six categories including—kids, juniors, youth, U-23, elite, and veterans.

Over 100 cyclists will grace the Mountain Bike National Championship at the Naro-Moru River Lodge this weekend. 

The event will act as a trial for the team to represent the country at the Africa Mountain Bike Championship slated for next year here in Kenya. 

The race will feature six categories including—kids, juniors, youth, U-23, elite, and veterans. The Riders will compete in cross-country Olympics as marathon categories respectively.

Kenya Cycling Federation (KCF) secretary general Charles Mose described the event as key ahead of what will be a busy 2023 season that will feature among others All Africa Games, Youth Commonwealth Games as well as the Youth Olympics.

“Our season starts this weekend and we want to pick the best cyclists to represent the country at the various events. We are working with various counties to ensure we have the best team," he noted.

Mose thanked the various sponsors who have come on board.

“We are very pleased with our partners Naro Moru River Lodge, Extreme Africa, Five Stars Africa and Abayomi for the support," said Mose.
