The second national Kenya Volleyball Federation Beach volleyball tour will be staged at Kaiti River, Wote White Sands in Makueni County on December 11-12, organisers have confirmed.
Speaking after inspecting the venue, national volleyball coach Patrick Owino, said:"The federation is committed towards sensitising more players to embrace the game and these tours will also contribute to points towards qualification to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris."
He, however, had some reservations, saying: "The ground looks good at the moment because it is dry and the perfect time to host the tour. If there be rain by the time the games will be staged, then there could be problems."
The pair of Brian Melly and Naftali Chumba were victorious in the men's category while Gladys Wangui and Phosca Kasisi topped the women's edition during the inaugural tour held in Homa Bay County last month.
Meanwhile, the World Beach Pro Tour which was launched last month, will feature the best players in the world and bring beach lifestyles to the fans by combining beach volleyball with and entertainment including music, food and beach life.
The tour travels across the globe, showcasing the best of beach volleyball at vibrant events in stunning locations and iconic cities.
