All is not well at a state agency that has ties with the National Treasury. Allegations of sex and corruption scandals are threatening not only operations but also the lives of those involved in alleged underhand dealings there. Some staffers fear the circus could end in bloodletting owing to the high stakes in the schemes. Insiders at the agency, with branch offices across the country, say it is only a matter of time before the scandals spill to the public.

An investigation agency is worried about how to progress with a probe into the circumstances under which officials procured a faulty system installed at a major state corporation. It's alleged that some big names are involved. This is after it emerged that the state corporation lost more than Sh1 billion in the procurement of the system. Questions abound why the concerned Cabinet secretary has failed to involve the authorities to establish the loss of public funds in the project and have legal action taken against the accounting officer who procured the stalled machines.

A renowned city lawyer who has styled himself as king of shed and philanthropy per excellence is living on borrowed time before his ill deeds are exposed. The top advocate, who boasts of his deep roots in religion and dignity, is said to have conspired to grab several prime properties belonging to his client. He joined hands with the brothers of his 58-year-old client, who is now living in abject poverty, to grab the man’s Sh5 billion inheritance. Sources told Corridors that the advocate has been frustrating his client’s daughter and may have managed to block any move by the regulator to probe his conduct.

A senior MP from Western Kenya could find himself on the wrong side of the law. The lawmaker has been hosting delegations at his Karen home despite the stringent Covid-19 protocols. Recently, the second-term MP invited some of his colleagues to his posh residence for his wife's birthday fête. The drunken MPs then started making a lot of noise and playing loud music that disturbed neighbours in the wee hours of the night. The disgruntled lot has written to the police seeking action against the MP. It is only a matter of time before his goose is cooked.
