Those who drafted the Nairobi County Integrated Development Plan 2013-17 favoured wards in Kibera subcounty, MCAs have said.
The reps said most of developments projects in the plan are concentrated in Kibera at the expense of other wards.
Through the Budget and Finance Committee chairman Michael Ogada who presented the plan in the assembly on Thursday, they said although Kibera faces many challenges, it should not take the bulk of the projects.
"A lot still needs to be done to reduce concentration of projects in Kibera slums," said Ogada.
Ogada's committee proposed amendments to the plan to factor in all the 85 wards.
The ward representatives approved the amendments, compelling the county executive to add 284 projects to the plan.
"The CIDP is a document that must amalgamate all the projects that would be pursued in the lifetime of the first Assembly," said Ogada.
The MCAs asked the county treasury to evaluate the exact cost of the projects.
They want the county government to determine the actual implementing agencies and timeline within which the projects will be completed.
The reps removed from the plan a section stating that a training facility be established in the office of the governor for county spies.
"It is therefore suicide to honourable members if any ward is omitted from this development outlay," he said.
