Celebs who had nasty baby mama/daddy dramas in 2022

Being in the limelight in Kenya means your business becomes public business, and your fans expect you to be clean and without drama.

However, the biggest challenges most celebrities face is keeping their relationships private.

When things go south, they have to face the reality and open up to their fans about it, although some have maintained a low profile even when they are facing dramatic issues that require them to speak out.

Co-parenting has proved to be a tough ask for many. It tends to be accompanied by numerous baby mama dramas.

In 2022, the year was quite busy, but we also got to experience some baby mama and baby daddy dramas online.

Here are a few celebrities who were involved in nasty feuds with their baby mamas.

1. MULAMWAH AND 'SONNIE'

Comedian Mulamwah and Carrol Muthoni, alias Sonnie, broke up in 2021, when she was expecting their daughter, but announced the breakup early this year.

The two have since been trading insults on social media after the messy break-up over alleged infidelity.

The comedian even accused Carrol of denying him access to their child.

He also accused his baby mama of allegedly wanting to terminate the pregnancy, something that she vehemently denied.

Carrol told Word Is 2022 has been the toughest year in her life.

"I lost so many gigs at that time since most brands do not want to associate with drama," she said, adding that job opportunities are now opening up and she is hoping for the best.

"If I am still alive, it is by the grace of God."

Carrol said at some point last year, she was suicidal, but a friend saved her life.

"It was not easy and the only reason I did not quit social media was that I was afraid I would not feed my child," she said.

"I had to learn to grow a thick skin. I was suicidal because of postpartum depression and other things. My baby was barely a month old then."

On how she overcame the backlash and hate online, Carrol said "every day you become better".

"I have moved past that but I have not gotten the courage to speak about it yet," she said.

2. SAMIDOH AND KAREN NYAMU

These two have eaten up our data bundles as we tried to catch up with their never-ending drama.

This year, their drama started when Karen announced she was pregnant with another child by the singer.

It turned out she was pregnant at the same time Samidoh's wife Edday was also pregnant.

After welcoming her daughter in February, everything was okay until October, when Samidoh went to the US for his music tour.

Karen learnt that he was being hosted by his music promoter Bernice, and she started attacking the woman.

At some point, Karen Nyamu tried to cover up the story by sharing a screenshot that suggested they are friends.

Bernice then blasted Karen for lying, saying Karen had called her on video, wanting to know who she was and why she had hosted Samidoh.

Karen Nyamu also attacked Edday after she thanked Bernice for taking care of her husband while in the US.

"Something is very wrong, hizi ni tabia za side chick not even baby mamas. I can never do this with my friends. If you want to talk to mzee, talk to mzee directly."

3. OGA OBINNA AND BABY MAMA

In August, Obinna had a bitter exchange of words with one of his baby mamas online. 

She alleged that Obinna occasionally mistreated her and had her tracked. 

This saw the comedian respond by stating that he is a victim of gender-based violence, while he also denied the allegations. 

The comedian then assured that he had videos, audios and receipts that would back up his story against his baby mama's accusations.

"The problem, however, is if I choose to release all these, the lady in question might be depressed for the rest of her life. She will be broken terribly," Obinna warned.

4. KHALIGRAPH AND CASHY

Rapper Khaligraph Jones and Cashy Karimi broke up and went their separate ways before their son's birth some time in September 2018.

Cashy Karimi had accused Khaligraph of being a deadbeat father. Khaligraph, on the other hand, alleged that Cashy made outrageous demands from him regarding child support.

He sued Cashy for defamation in February, accusing Cashy of constantly harassing him.

Khaligraph sort for his child's custody but he lost the case in November.

Cashy thanked her online family for being supportive in her fight to gain full custody of her son and get Khaligraph to provide support for his child.

5. BENSOUL AND TIFFANY 

Sol Generation's signee Bensoul had a huge online feud with his baby mama named Tifanny Muikamba since February. 

Their drama started when Bensoul admitted to having cheated on his girlfriend Noni with Tifanny.

The two welcomed a child later in the year.

Tiffany accused the artiste of giving her no support in regard to their kid. 

A fan asked her, "How are you handling co-parenting?"

And Tiffany said, "At the moment, I don’t want to share my baby with anyone. I’m obsessed."

We hope 2023 is going to be a better year with less drama.
