Actress Jackie Matubia gifted her parents a modern house.

Sharing the news on her YouTube channel, Matubia said it took her almost two years to finally accomplish her dream.

She said the gift to her parents was to celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary.

"I am so broke, but I thank God for holding my hand, and my husband for encouraging me," she said.

"This is something I have been working on from way before I even started my YouTube channel."

Jackie highlighted that it broke her heart seeing how her parents and siblings lived, thus the need to make things better.

She said even though she was scared this was something she knew she had to do.

"For this project, I had to take that leap of faith. I told myself that even though I was left with nothing I had to go through with it. The past three years have been quite tough, especially in 2020," she said.

"I kept praying for God to help me accomplish my goal. When elections kicked in, I decided it was high time I finished this project no matter the outcome."

She praised her baby daddy Blessing Lung’aho for being supportive of her and having her back throughout the project.

"I thank God for my partner because he knew my vision and he kept holding me down mentally. He really held me down."

Early this year, gospel spin master Samuel Muraya, alias DJ Mo, also gifted his parents with a fully furnished house.

The three-bedroomed home was estimated to have cost around Sh5 million.

The couple built their parents a house first before they could start building their own home, which is ongoing.

Content creator Milly Chebby also surprised her mum with a house renovation a few months ago.

King Kaka also gifted his mum with a house this year.

Kaka recounted a day their house was locked because her mum could not afford to pay Sh500 rent.
