Rapper Majirani is working as a mjengo guy (construction worker) in Poland.

A recent video of Majirani narrating his experience as a construction worker in Poland surfaced online a few days ago.

In the video, Majirani is urging his fellow artistes to work hard or else they will be forced to do odd jobs to make ends meet.

Speaking to Word Is, Majirani said the tough decision is bearing fruits.

The former grandpa records signee said he does not want to be broke again, recounting how his girlfriend dumped him for being broke.

"I don't want to be broke again. Poverty is bad, my girlfriend dumped me after I had introduced her to my parents," he said.

"Then after I stopped singing, money stopped coming. By then, I didn't have side hustles, no known business, just my savings. I went three months without paying rent."

Majirani was running a football club, which he was also not able to fund.

"Life was hard to an extent she saw no worth in me. She denied me conjugal rights for five months, yet we were living together," he said.

In 2021, Majirani went public with his tribulations, appealing to Kenyans to come to his rescue.

At that particular time, he had been locked out of his house and forced to sleep on the streets.

"By then, I wasn't ready to accept the job offers that were coming my way since all were odd jobs because of my status," he said.

He said the ex-lover pressured him and after he exhausted all his savings, she left with everything they had bought together.

"She even told my landlord I had gone broke and that I won't be able to pay rent," he said.

"I was left with what she perceived to be mine. A week later, I was given the notice to vacate the house and my football club was withdrawn from the Football Kenya Federation."

A well-wisher came to his rescue and a few months later, he made a comeback in the music industry in 2021 through a collabo with Sailors Gang, 'Chepukati', but the comeback was short-lived.

"I panicked. I had to sit myself down and think. Nikaenda hio mjengo Kenya and a video of me went viral doing mjengo. So many friends mocked me. I decided I will do it, but not in Kenya."

Majirani said he took a loan from his friend to process his document and relocate.

On social media, he asked his fans to appreciate everyone's hustle.

"Hii mjengo nafanya is equivalent to your MCA's salary," he responded to a fan who trolled him.
