President Uhuru's close pal Big Ted wed the love of his life on Wednesday.

The State House events director, whose real name is Thomas Kwakwa, exchanged vows with his bride, Sheila, at a private event with a select few invitees.

A source told Word Is, "It was super hush-hush, only 16 people were on the guest list."

Adding, "The wedding venue was in Longonot and it was a closed event, with only close family and friends."

Ted and Sheila met seven years ago.

The source added, "They exchanged their vows on the 7th anniversary of their meeting. Seven years ago today, Big ted and Sheila met at Java."

In 2020, Big Ted proposed to Sheila at Movenpick Hotel in Parklands.

Celebrating her birthday last year, Big Ted penned a beautiful poem for Sheila, describing her as the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

"Whatever comes against you, comes against me," he wrote in part.

Ted's close friend VDJ Space told Word Is the ceremony was colourful.

"They wanted a very private event of close family and friends. There was so much love in the air, and home. So much history for us who have been in their journey," Space said.

"We know how much they have gone through. They have been there for each other and overcome the different challenges. It was an awesome ceremony."
