Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has six children, more than is public knowledge.

His well-known children are four, with Zari, Hamisa and Tanasha Donna.

Diamond, who is featured in Young, Famous and African reality show, said he is a father of many.

"I have four kids. Maybe five or maybe six," he said.

"A couple of months back, my mum told me, she met this lady, I know this lady, and she said she has my kid but then, she doesn't want to tell me because she is married and her husband thinks the kid is his. My child is 10 years old."

Diamond said he is single but there is no way he can just be alone the whole year.

"Sometimes I can have one-night stands that complicate everything," he said.

In January last year, during an interview on Wasafi FM, the 'Jeje' crooner spoke about his two other children.

"I have a daughter who I just started seeing the other day. It’s been approximately four years since I last saw her," he said.

"These things do happen and that’s why one needs to be really wise when it comes to matters concerning your kids and their parents, or else you’ll lose them and look dumb."

He said the first one is in Mwanza but her mother hid her from him.

He has not been able to meet the second girl because her mother is in a serious relationship.

"We are trying to come up with a perfect time for me to be able to see her because my mother is convinced she is my child," he said.

"My mother has seen them and said they are mine. My mother does not lie."
