Rapper Nyashinski on Saturday thanked fans for their support before closing out the 'Destination Africa Festival' at Ngong Racecourse, where Nigerian superstar Adekunle Gold was scheduled to headline.
"Thank you for everything you have done for me. Having me headline the show," he said.
"I was happy not for my ego but finally, this is an inspiration to any young person who wants to be big in the industry. This is not a win for me but for all of you."
Fans had doubted he'd be the last act amid a recent online debate sparked by comedian Eric Omondi about Kenyan artistes merely curtain-raising for international artistes.
Eric attended the show. He was blocked at the entrance but was later let into the venue, when he said he came to support local artistes.
