Fid Q hosts a listening party in Nairobi

TANZANIAN rapper Farid Kubanda aka Fid Q hosted an exclusive listening party for his upcoming third album Kitaaolojia (Streetology) at Ebony Lounge in Nairobi last week.The hip-hop artiste is among a stellar lineup of artistes from across the continent for the Coke Studio Africa season three. His album is set for release next month.

TANZANIAN rapper Farid Kubanda aka Fid Q hosted an exclusive listening party for his upcoming third album Kitaaolojia (Streetology) at Ebony Lounge in Nairobi last week.

The hip-hop artiste is among a stellar lineup of artistes from across the continent for the Coke Studio Africa season three. His album is set for release next month.

Kitaaolojia album is about what’s happening on the streets and inspires the youth to be in control of their lives. It features 10 songs including Lelewe Mitaa, Neno ft Lord Eyez, Sihitaji Marafiki ft Yvonne Mwale from Zambia, Siri ya Mchezo ft Juma Nature, Bendera ya Chuma with Ben Pol and Bongo Hip Hop with producer P Funk Majani.

Nicknamed “The Swahili Kid” by American rapper Fat Joe, Fid Q has also worked with BET nominated Kenyan group Sauti Sol in a song that will feature in the album. He was joined on the decks by Kenya’s DJ Finalkut.
