WhatsApp has extended group calls to 32 contacts in the latest update.
The feature is now rolling out to all Android and iOS users.
It follows other video calling platforms like Zoom, Teams, Skype, among others in with the new group call feature.
But first, you need to get the latest update from either Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
If the update is not available yet, you might need to wait for some more time. The feature could be rolled out in a phased manner.
During the pandemic, WhatsApp extended the calling feature from four to eight members.
The feature was very well received by users globally.
The messaging platform has extended the calling feature further to 32 contacts.
Notably, the calling feature is available only for voice calls and not video calls for the time being.
How to make a group video call from a group chat
Step 1
Open the WhatsApp group chat you want to video call.
*If your group chat has 33 or more participants, tap Group call.
* If your group chat has 32 or fewer participants, tap Video call and confirm your decision.
Step 2
Note, the first seven people who answer can join the call, and only group members can participate.
Step 3
Find the contacts you want to add to the call, then tap the Video call.
