Nyayo National Stadium's new look

Seats painted in the colours of the national flag on previously concrete stands is one of the upgrades that make for a new and improved Nyayo National Stadium.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday officiated its reopening as it nears completion after more than three years of renovation. The new look has been approved by Fifa and meets the international standards, with a sitting capacity of about 30,000.

Kenya is set to host the first World Athletics Continental tour in Africa on October 3, with the Kip Keino Classic being the first sporting event in honour of sports legend Kipchoge Keino.
