Canada trains Kenyan youth for Blue Economy

Canada was interested in the Coast because of the Blue Economy and will donate funds and come up with programs to ensure youth don't miss the opportunities

Canadian Ambassador Lisa Stadelbaue recently announced plans to engage youths in programmes of blue economy to create job opportunities.

She met youth in Malindi at the Elimu Resource Centre, which offers training on technology and innovation.

 

In Canada, she said, they are in collaboration with an organisation called 'See I Can' that has partnered up every polytechnic in Kenya with a Canadian community college.

Also present were Kilifi Gender executive Maureen Mwangovya and her Health counterpart Dr Anisa Omar.
