Russians celebrate Diplomacy Day

The Russian Embassy in Nairobi hosted a luncheon on Wednesday at its premises, to mark Diplomacy Day. It symbolises the continuity of many generations of Russian diplomats who have served their country in the interests of the people.During the event, the inaugural opening of an exhibition of paintings by Kenyan and Ugandan Artists was commissioned by the Russian ambassador Alexander Makarenko.

The Russian Embassy in Nairobi hosted a luncheon on Wednesday at its premises, to mark Diplomacy Day. It symbolises the continuity of many generations of Russian diplomats who have served their country in the interests of the people.

During the event, the inaugural opening of an exhibition of paintings by Kenyan and Ugandan Artists was commissioned by the Russian ambassador Alexander Makarenko.

Joining the diplomatic corp in attendance were Diplomatic Spouses Association chairperson Nabila Maandi, Bonzo Art Gallery director Adrian Nduma, Foreign Service deputy director Joseph Ayimba and Uganda Visual Artists and Designers Association chairperson Edward Waddimba.
