Boney M was one of the biggest bands in the 1970s era of pop and disco music and originally had four members — Jamaican-born singers Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett, Maizie Williams from Montserrat and Bobby Farrell from Aruba. They were later joined by other singers including Sheyla Bonnick.
The Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi played host to 'The Sound of Boney M', a tribute band led by former member Sheyla Bonnick accompanied by Nigerian singer Angela Anuforo, Zimbabwean/Austrian Maya Chewaluza and Noel Masco.
It was a night of reminiscing the old times as hits like Daddy Cool, Ma Baker, Brown Girl in the Ring and Feliz Navidad were peformed. The crew were joined on stage at one point by news anchor Jeff Koinange.
In attendance were Siaya Senator James Orengo and Paramount Bank senior manager Meena Parmar.
