Nigerian music sensation Khaid is giving fans a taste of what's to come with the release of Before Rich & Wacko(B4R&W), a four-track extended play that serves as the official warm-up to his highly anticipated debut album, Rich & Wacko.

More than just a teaser project, B4R&W offers a glimpse into the mindset, emotions, and experiences shaping one of Afrobeats' most exciting young stars.

Across four tracks, Khaid explores themes of ambition, vulnerability, resilience, and self-discovery, creating a soundtrack for life's highs and lows.

The title itself reflects a journey: Before the success, Before the confidence. Before Rich & Wacko. It captures a moment of transition where dreams are taking shape, but challenges still remain.

Speaking about the project, Khaid revealed that the term "Wacko" represents streetwise confidence and the ability to stay strong under pressure.

"People see the success now and might think I come from a wealthy background, but I grew up on the streets," he said.

"Everything I've experienced has shaped who I am today. I believe everyone has a 'wacko' side — that fearless side that comes out when life tests you."

The singer explained that the "Rich" side of the album reflects the melodic sound fans have come to love through songs like "Jolie," "With You," and "Jara," while the "Wacko" side introduces a different energy and perspective.

"The four songs on this EP are a preview of what's coming. Each track represents a different side of the album," Khaid said.

Leading the charge is "GO GO!", an infectious Afrobeats anthem packed with bounce, swagger, and undeniable dancefloor appeal.

Driven by catchy hooks and confident lyricism, the track showcases Khaid's signature blend of youthful energy and street-smart charisma.

With B4R&W, Khaid isn't just teasing an album—he's opening the door to a new chapter.

And if this EP is anything to go by, Rich & Wacko could be one of the most exciting debut projects to emerge from Nigeria's music scene this year.
