A boudoir photo shoot is a way of embracing your body or marking special occasions in your life.

Most clients opt to wear lingeries for a boudoir photo shoot but that is not the only option. You can wear a one-piece set, a cover-up, or a two-piece set.

At the end of the day, make sure you feel comfortable in what you choose to wear. You can decide to show too much or too less skin.

Your choices should blend with your hair and make-up. For you to enjoy a boudoir photo shoot, you should recreate looks that you love.

Your body needs to be prepared for a boudoir shoot for it not to bail on you.

Here are ways you can prepare your body for a boudoir shoot.

Clothes

Settle your outfit beforehand and have several options to choose from.

Ensure you feel comfortable, confident, and attractive in the clothes you opt for.

If you feel that it is too objectifying or you have reservations about showing too much skin, think about wearing regular clothing instead, including cardigans, tank tops, a fitting button-up shirt, or a skirt or dress with a high slit.

A stunning look can be created by combining many of these options with gorgeous undergarments.

Rest well the night before

This will have you looking your best the next day for the shoot.

You will also not feel exhausted or cranky during the shoot.

Practice posing

Do this in front of your mirror. It boosts your confidence and gets you ready for the shoot.

Practice the poses you want to do and settle for the ones you are comfortable with but do not be afraid of trying the ones your photographer recommends.

Use a chair as a prop or other props during your practice.

Groom yourself well

A week before your shoot take time to groom yourself for the shoot. This can be getting your nails done, getting a wax, shaving your legs, getting your hair done, or going for a facial.

 Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water days before the shoot to have your body and face looking hydrated and radiant.
