Gang violence in Kenya has become a widespread disease with no guarantee for peace.

Despite the enormous growth in the numbers of these criminal gangs, little is known about the dynamic that drives them or the long -term solution the government could adopt to combat them.

Youths are the most targeted, some citing protection, expulsion from school, peer influence or lack of jobs. They need to be educated on the various impacts of crime.

Youths are the future leaders and if nothing is done to keep them in check, they will end up in drugs, jail or dead.
