Last week,

Infinix Mobility launched its latest smartphone in the Kenyan market, Infinix Zero3 X552.
The Zero3 features a significant number of upgrades that makes it one of the best mid-range smartphones on the market. It is the first true highly specced smartphone from Infinix.
Its design looks elegantly slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, Zero 2. The Zero 3 comes in a not so large exterior complimented with a dual-sided explosion-proof glass back and stainless steel frame. The phone boasts of a 5.5-inch Full HD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device also comes with a free transparent rubber carrying case.

The Zero3's great 5.5-inch Full HD screen comes with a pixel density of 400ppi (1080P). This allows users to experience greater clarity for immersive gaming and videos. It also comes with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080.
One of the highlights of the Zero 3 is the huge improvement in the camera as the phone boasts 20.7 megapixels. The camera, which is manufactured by Sony, features IMX230 CMOS Sensor that enhances sensitivity to light. The primary camera at the back has double LED flash that capture and produce good quality images at any time of the day, relying on a 4K high definition video feature.

The rear camera performance is striking and is able to capture almost DSLR-like quality images regardless of your photography skills. The ISO and shutter speed can be configured based on environmental conditions hence increasing the quality of pictures being taken.
The camera comes with a quite a number of software such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging, voice and touch capture, gesture shot, slow motion and 4K video recording to allow for a better experience. The Zero 3 comes with a powerful 5MP camera, one that most phones in its range have as primary camera. What makes the front camera stand out is the flash that is just next to it. This is a good feature for taking selfies even at night.
The phone is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core processor which clocks in at 2.20GHz. It also comes with a 3GB of RAM for a smooth performance. For those who use their phones a lot, a 3GB RAM is ideal for video and game play. Smooth running of several apps running simultaneously is also a plus with the powerfully built Zero 3.
The 3.5mm audio port lies on top of the device while the charging port lies at the bottom, just next to the microphone. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the left side of the smartphone. The Micro-SD slot is on the right while the SIM card slot is on the left. Infinix includes an ejector pin to pull out the slots. The phone is a dual sim card device.
The Zero 3 boasts of a Li-ion 3600 mAh non removable battery. However when the phone is on 4G internet, it drains out the power in just under 24 hours. This can be disappointing to the heavy phone users. However, the phone has some power management features such as the ultra-power saving mode that ensures that you squeeze out the maximum out of the battery. At two per cent, and with this feature, the phone can manage to stay on for close to eight hours without being charged.

The Li-Polymer battery supports fast charging therefore covers for time used while charging.
The phone comes with a 16GB internal storage capacity which is expandable using an external micro SD card.
The phone runs on latest Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system which is upgradable to the yet to be released Android Marshmallow 6.0. This is quite good for a phone of such stature.
The outer speakers are good for both calls and music or rather for watching videos on the 5.5 inch display screen. Making calls with the phone is not bad as the earpiece gives you a clear voice from the person on the other side of the line. The phone also supports 4G LTE internet.
The phone is set to fulfill aspirations of young Kenyans, professionals and even students looking to enjoy quality, by delivering great functionality and style at an incredibly affordable price. At just Sh18,499, you get to have a taste of this device which is available on Jumia.
