Fried plantain recipe is so quick and easy to prepare plus you only need two ingredients to make it.
Plantains are very popular in Uganda and West Africa region.
Ingredients
- 4 plantains (raw or a bit ripe)
- Vegetable or sunflower oil
- salt (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Peel and chop plantain diagonally or vertically.
Step 2
Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan.
Step 3
Add plantains and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Once done, add salt to taste.
Leave the plantain to soak on a paper towel and serve as desired with steak or fish and chilli sauce
