The best way to make a martini is using a high end gin or vodka and refrigerating both your olives and the glass.
Its pleasant saltiness is fascinating against the dry vermouth background.
"Dirty" simply refers to the addition of olive juice or brine.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 ounces gin or vodka
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- 1/4 to 1/2 ounce olive juice or brine, to taste
- 1 or 3 olives, for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour the gin, dry vermouth, and olive juice then stir well for at least 30 seconds.
Step 2
Ice, pour the gin, dry vermouth, and olive juice stirred together in a glass
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Step 3
Garnish with 1 or 3 olives. Serve and enjoy with friends.
