Fabulous make-up looks for the festive season

Makeup looks that will have you turning heads and garnering compliments this season.

In Summary

• Since we're doing festive looks we want to stick to bright colours in the theme,  and as we're going with expressive colours in our eyes, our lips should have neutral/ dull (specifically matte) shades.

• No matter how pretty or tired you may feel do not sleep with makeup on.

Happy holidays!

It's almost everyone's favourite time of the year.

A chance to recap on all you've done, the items you got to tick off your bucket list (if you do that) and brag somewhat on the down-low about your achievements.

Below are a few makeup looks that will have you turning heads and garnering compliments at the brunches/dinners you'll be attending.

Hey, you could end up being the favourite cousin/aunty as well and everyone will want to take pictures with you and be asking for tips.

If attending a costume or theme party during the holidays, opt to go for a custom makeup look rather than wear a mask or go with the plain everyday makeup look.

You can get inspiration from the look below.

Have your makeup express your creative/fun side. Yes, face paints are not selectively for Halloween and kids' parties.

If it's simply dinner or brunch with friends worry not.

You can still show your Christmas spirit while looking chic.

Mix up two festive colours, like green and red for your eyeshadow then choose something simple for your lip look.

You can have lipstick or clear lipgloss.

Shimmery glitter?

Yes, please!

Let your makeup speak for you when you walk anywhere.

When it comes to these holiday looks, your eyes are the easiest playground as you can have multiple colours in.

Remember, since we're doing festive looks we want to stick to bright colours in the theme.

Add glitter to your eyeshadow of choice to give it a spark.

Note; since we're going with expressive colours in our eyes, our lips should have neutral/ dull (specifically matte) shades.

To ensure your makeup doesn't cake or run use a primer first before putting on your foundation.

After you're done with the look of choice spray a setting spray over your look to 'hold ' it in.

Note;  Remember to blend your ears and neck so as to have an even tone across and avoid looking unnatural.

Also, line your eyelids with your foundation before applying eyeshadow so as to ensure the colours

Remember, no matter how pretty or tired you may feel do not sleep with makeup on.

I do hope these looks helped you get out of your shell and be expressive with your looks during this festive season.

Happy Holidays.
