Kenyan singer-songwriter Bien is set to perform at the world's biggest Afrobeats and Amapiano festival, Afro Nation, in Portugal in July 2026.

Afro Nation has released its lineup, featuring global stars and powerhouses in Afrobeats, among other genres.

Kenya's own Bien is set to appear on the same stage with global superstars, including South African singer-songwriter Tyla, Nigerian singers Wizkid, Asake, and Olamide, and American rapper and singer Gunna.

Bien being featured in the lineup is a huge win for the artist, solidifying his influence in the global music scene, being the only East African artist featured in the festival's lineup.

This will not be the first time Bien has performed at the Afro Nation stage. In June 2023, Bien performed as a member of the boy band Sauti Sol at Praia da Rocha beach, in Portimão, Portugal.

In the Afro Nation 2023 festival, the band shared the same stage with Nigerian Burnaboy, who headlined the festival, as well as other global artists, including American rapper 50 Cent and Jamaican singer Popcaan.

Sauti Sol was also scheduled to perform at the Afro Nation Festival in Portugal in 2021, which was the first time they were going to perform at the festival's stage. However, the festival was cancelled, then rescheduled, and eventually held in 2022.

With Afrobeats and Amapiano taking over, Bien, Wizkid, and Tyla being on the same stage, the festival is expected to be an out-of-this-world experience for music lovers.

Another huge name in the lineup is the American R&B singer-songwriter Mariah the Scientist. The "Burning Blue" singer will perform live on stage, further diversifying the genres that music lovers at the festival will experience.

Afro Nation Portugal 2026 is a beach festival which will be held in Portimão, Portugal from July 3rd to 5th, 2026. The festival features Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip-hop, and pop.

Ticket pre-sales for the festival open up on October 9. General sale will start on October 10, according to the Afro Nation official website, afronation.com.
