Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment Geoffrey Mosiria has broken his silence after an old photo of him drinking in a club while flanked by two women went viral on social media.
The image, which triggered a flurry of speculation online, showed Mosiria holding a drink and embracing the two women. He has now clarified that the photo was taken more than 11 years ago while he was still a university student.
“Yes, that’s me back on campus with my wife and her friend when we were dating over 11 years ago,” Mosiria said in a post on X.
“Today, by God’s grace, we are still walking this journey together.”
Beyond addressing the trending photo, Mosiria also revealed that his TikTok account—which boasts over 1.2 million followers—had been reinstated.
The account had been suspended after he posted a video from a nightclub in Pipeline, which TikTok flagged as explicit content.
Mosiria argued that the clip was part of an operation meant to highlight cases of public indecency, and he appealed to the Communications Authority of Kenya to have the account restored.
His appeal was successful, and the Environment officer is now back online, resuming content creation on the platform.
