In Summary
Grammy Award-winning artist Mojo Morgan is making a return to the music scene with his new single ‘Dreams’.
The song released this Tuesday across all major digital platforms is a blend of reggae, rock, and soul, and it marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Morgan Heritage star.
According to Mojo, the single from his new EP dubbed Jamaica love is a personal anthem of resilience, rooted in grief and rebirth after the loss of his brother and bandmate, Peetah Morgan.
“Dreams is for every hustler, every survivor, and every soul who refuses to settle,” Mojo said.
“It’s a declaration that your dreams are valid, no matter where you come from or what you’ve been told.”
The singer said the death of his brother sharpened his sense of purpose, creating a space that only creativity could fill.
“This isn’t just music—it’s a vow to carry the torch.”
He described every lyric on the EP as infused with a mission to honor the sacrifices, preserve the legacy, and turn pain into purpose.
The EP, is co-produced by renowned dancehall producer Rowan ‘Droptop’ Melhado, captures the raw energy of Jamaican life.
Mojo spent time in Kingston and rural Jamaica, working closely with dancehall star Popcaan and absorbing the culture that raised him.
“You see struggle, but also loyalty, humor, and creativity. That spirit, that raw, unfiltered truth shaped Jamaica Love into something truly special.”
Mojo described the sound as ‘Rasta Rock’. The project features artists like Sizzla, Gramps Morgan, Popcaan, and his own children and nephew.
“Caribbean music has always been about fusion,” he insisted.
While ‘Dreams’ launches Mojo’s comeback, it also signals a generational handoff as his nephew Jemere Morgan who has now stepped into the role of lead singer for Morgan Heritage.
Mojo praised his nephew saying that he has been groomed by the best and he understands what the Morgan Heritage name means.
“He’s stepping into some big shoes with grace, humility, and fire,” he said.
“Peetah is smiling down on us.”
