Kenyan musician Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has issued as Kenyans seeking to know her situation to stop calling her.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the musician said it is disrespectful to call her based on her status online.

She said all those reaching out to her are not doing so out of care.

"I have passed the place where I needed advice, sympathy or explanations. If I never reached out to you for advice or a shoulder to lean on kindly don't call me," she said.

"You are not calling because you care but because you want first-hand information. Don't call me, I repeat don't call me. You never called me when I was winning, you never called to check up on me, and most of you calling me now never call to congratulate me on big wins."

The mother of five said the information that the public has is all and those calling her should know they are a destruction.

She said she had nothing to discuss with those calling her.

"I am not the first trying to balance life. Again when I walk into your officers and banks for meetings do not ask me questions unrelated to what I have come to do," Akothee said.

The musician on Sunday shared a long message about seeking healing and taking therapy sessions.

"Allow me to thank everyone who prayed for me in silence, everyone who walked me through the journey. I have come out of a very dangerous Zone and I have been healing in private. I am in my 2nd month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth & some ugly stuff that left me shaking, Went days without food and no sleep, questioning and answering myself, it has been very heavy," read part of her message.

In early April, Akothee changed her name when she got married to Denis Schweizer alias Omosh.

At the time, the musician had said that she and Omosh would be holding another wedding to take place in Omosh's Switzerland homeland.

The wedding did not however take place.

Omosh and Akothee had a lavish wedding that was attended by top politicians and celebrities, among them Ida Odinga, Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o and Governor Gladys Wanga.

After the wedding, Akothee announced that she was taking a break from social media to focus on her marriage.
