Kisumu MCA Seth Ochieng alias Adui Nyang has reportedly been arrested by DCI officers.
The arrest is alleged to be in connection with his involvement in the Azimio anti-government protests that rocked the country last month.
Ochieng, the Market/Milimani ward representative, was arrested by the officers at Java House, West End Mall on Wednesday.
He is currently being held at Kisumu Central police station.
Recently during the three-day countrywide protests, the MCA narrowly escaped arrest after he fled into the bush.
Sources at the police said Ochieng has been on the radar for planning and organising protests in the lakeside city.
However, Kisumu Central DCI officer Robert Kipsum did not respond to calls or text messages over the arrest.
County Criminal Investigations officer Hussein Bakari also said he was held up in a security meeting at the county commissioner's office.
