The Kenyan comedy industry is in deep mourning following the sudden demise of comedian and actor Ochonjo Dunco.
The sad news was announced by actress Sandra Dacha. A devastated Dacha narrated how hard it is to come to terms with Ochonjo’s sudden death.
“Life is pleasant. DEATH is peaceful. It’s the transition that’s troublesome.
“REST IN PEACE my friend/colleague @ochonjodunco 🙏🏿,” Sandra said in part.
In her update, Dacha disclosed that Ochonjo was hospitalized on Thursday last week. And he breathed his last today at 2 am.
“A day like this last week is when we took you to the hospital… My colleague @ochonjodunco took his last breath at 2 am today😭
“10/5/2023. You embrace death because life doesn’t exist without you. You have left some wonderful memories that will never fade from our hearts. Until we meet again rest in peace Ochos🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️,” read an update from Sandra Dacha.
Kenyans from all walks of life joined the conversation expressing shock as they mourned the comedian.
Ochonjo is also a well-known figure on TikTok for his video with young comedians Osongo and Mike Wako.
