Potatoes are a very popular vegetable that almost everyone enjoys eating.

Making them in different shapes and forms gives you an opportunity to enjoy them in their various forms.

Potato wedges could be eaten together with meat dishes such as pork stew, chicken, beef or even sausages.

Ingredients

  • 10 huge potatoes
  • 2tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1tsp dry oregano
  • 1tsp paprika powder
  • 1tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tsp black pepper powder
  • 1tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Peel all the potatoes and wash them thoroughly. Nonetheless, if you enjoy eating them with the skin you can keep them.

Step 2

Cut up the potatoes into wedge shapes. This can be achieved by cutting them into halves and then cutting the halves into quarters.

Step 3

Put the chopped potatoes into a bowl and gradually add all the ingredients.

Step 4

Mix them up well ensuring that all the pieces of potatoes are fully covered in all the ingredients.

Step 5

Preheat your oven for 10 minutes at 230 degrees Celsius.

Step 6

Place the potatoes on a baking tray covered in aluminium foil. Ensure they are spaced out and not too close to each other.

Step 7

Cover the potatoes with another aluminium foil which will help retain the moisture and flavour of the potatoes.

After the oven has heated up, put the potatoes in for twenty minutes.

Step 8

After they are done, remove the aluminium cover and return the potatoes back to the oven for 15 minutes.

Step 9

Remove the ready potatoes,let them cool and enjoy.
