The festive month is here with us and everyone wants to celebrate it with all the luxury it deserves. However, not everyone can afford that.
The need to celebrate will make most people, especially youths, engage in crimes forgetting there is life after this season.
They are under peer pressure and want to have what they cannot afford.
Most of them will engage in burglary and robbery with violence to get easy money.
They will even hijack cars and pickpocket people on the streets and we will end up losing more innocent people because most will either be gunned down or die from mob beatings.
Most of them do not think of their future life.
They will engage in sexual immorality and abuse drugs. This will result in unwanted pregnancies, HIV-Aids and STIs.
The climax for crimes and immorality hits on Christmas Day.
Everyone is lively and more immorality will happen.
Youths jammed on the streets drinking alcohol and using other forms of drugs is a common sight and leads to rape cases because most people are unable to control themselves and they will make poor decisions.
Some youths also use Christmas festive season to meet their partners. Most of them are still teenagers and this results in an increase in pregnancies and school dropout in January.
You will be surprised to see a married man getting into a bar with a teenager and all these immoralities is what society considers as a celebration.
Society has failed in conducting a moral celebration and those who suffer are the adolescents and youths.
Sadly, some are now mothers, some youths were introduced to drugs on Christmas day and they are now drug addicts.
The negative perception of Christmas Day has cost the lives of some people.
Some are now in jail because they involved themselves in rape or robbery during the festive season, others were raped and their lives changed and are now hopeless.
Stay out of crime and immorality, your life is worth a diamond.
