Dear Tim, please accept my sincere appreciation for your invitation to grace your event.
The two of us have walked this journey together since 2009 when I was the town clerk and CEO, Nairobi city.
Over the years, we have had a cordial, respectful and mutual working relationship.
Together, we left a legacy we hoped the incoming county administrations could build on for the sake of our city.
The results have been mixed. Some good. Some bad.
It's not about who is to blame, but more of what we have collectively lost as Nairobians.
That means the important question is: What must be done to right the course?
We cannot drift any further.
You and I both share the same values of hard work, servant leadership and integrity of the highest order.
I have all the confidence in your leadership ability and similarly, I am sure you have an appreciation of my managerial skills.
We, therefore, complement each other.
I would like to assure Nairobi residents that we shall work on a formula to deliver the best among ourselves to provide leadership in our great city from August 2022 and beyond.
Nairobi should rest assured that you and I will put Nairobi and the people first before our interests.
From the community I come from, the people of Mulembe, here is my message to you: Brothers and sisters, charity begins at home; let's work towards the unity of purpose.
There is enough for all of us. We can deliver the Nairobi governor's seat, seven parliamentary seats and 30 MCAs.
Research of voting patterns proves that this can be done.
All the best, Tim.
May the Almighty God guide you.
Run a clean and purposeful campaign that is focused on what is critical to this city.
Long live the people of Nairobi.
