In Summary

•Your vote is your future. This is the only democratic way of placing potential leaders in political positions.

•So many youth initiatives will be supported and this will expose them to other opportunities.

Voting is a democratic exercise that gives voters a chance to elect leaders of their choice.

Ironically, the number of registered voters is below the expected yet so many people turn up during political meetings.

Most people, especially youths, are ignorant about so many programmes that may benefit them.

As young people, we should be active in many initiatives. We are the people who should guide the rest and convince them of the importance of being a registered voter.

Let's pull our legs out of the basket and act as literate fellows. We have a future to safeguard and the only way is by being eligible voters.

A country's future is determined by the number of people who turn up during the voting exercise.

It does not matter how well a certain candidate's campaigns were conducted, what matters is how many people voted for that candidate.

Your vote is your future. This is the only democratic way of placing potential leaders in political positions.

A youth registers as a voter in Muhuru Bay ward, Nyatike constituency.

As the exercise comes to an end, those who have not registered as voters should know that they are lagging the country behind in terms of development and leadership.

We are the change that the country needs. Youths are tomorrow's leaders.

They understand the changing world better and therefore ought to command their space in the ballot boxes. We will be able to raise our voices when one or two youths are elected.

So many youth initiatives will be supported and this will expose them to other opportunities.

One disadvantage of not voting is that you can't elect a leader no matter how you feel about them.

A country with no young leaders is least likely to develop.

Young people tend to have fresh visions and ideas in the political sphere.

Their ideas are up to date and their innovativeness is on a higher level.

In the general election, young people should practice democracy and vote for leaders wisely.

They should avoid being used as campaigning vessels by politicians.

The future of this country is in their hands.

Therefore, choosing young leaders in those political positions can be the best decision.

Making politics accessible to youth, the negative perceptions of politics can slowly be erased from their minds.

The youths should be responsible for their development and ensure that their grievances are well catered for.

Youth unemployment almost became a pandemic. So many graduates are tarmacking. We are in an era where you need to know people to get a good job.

Their grievances have been ignored and very few initiatives are supported.

To curb these problems, we should register as voters and elect leaders who understand the youths and their struggles.
