Notable accidents at the Nithi Bridge

The latest accident on Nithi Bridge happened on August 31, 2024.

Twelve people were killed in a gruesome accident involving a van and a pickup truck at the infamous Nithi Bridge along the Meru-Nairobi on Saturday night.

Police and witnesses said the accident involved a Nairobi-bound hired private Toyota Hiace and a Toyota Hilux headed toward Chogoria.

Fatal accidents have been on the rise amid efforts to address the trend.
