• It comes down to you whom you chose to represent you for the next five in the County Assemblies, in the Governor's Offices, in the National Assembly, in the Senate and in the Executive Office of the President.
• I have every confidence that when you tick the box that reads Raila Amolo Odinga for President and Martha Wangari Karua for Deputy President, you will be voting to secure your future.
In a number of days, those of us who have obtained our National Identification Cards are required to perform a civic duty enshrined in our Constitution.
It is an obligation that comes about every five years on the second Tuesday of the month of August.
I remember the first time I performed this civic duty. The feelings then were of awe and a marked sense of responsibility. It was a seismic moment that I will always remember.
In a few days’ time, there will be millions of new Kenyan voters who too will experience their seismic moment when they line up at their polling stations of choice and cast their first vote on the ballot.
This especially excites me for these new voters are the pupils who experienced the first fruits of the National Rainbow Coalition Government led by the Third President of the Republic of Kenya, Mwai Kibaki of Free Primary Education.
It was a Government that delivered Kenya’s Second Liberation – One that I was privileged to serve.
This coming Tuesday, we have another choice to make that will bring us closer to the realisation of our dreams and aspirations.
It comes down to you whom you chose to represent you for the next five in the County Assemblies, in the Governor's Offices, in the National Assembly, in the Senate and in the Executive Office of the President.
Your socio-political and economic destiny is in your hands.
After visiting all of our 47 counties, I am swayed that something seismic is happening in our land.
The people’s cry is the same in every corner of our Republic – “We want economic liberation”; “We want an end to corruption and impunity”; “We want equal educational opportunities for our children”; “We want comprehensive healthcare”; and “We want lasting peace.”
Fellow Kenyans; I stand before you today, completely convinced that there is only one coalition movement that has heard you.
That is the Azimio La Umoja– One Kenya Alliance and Hakika Tutaweza.
My Fellow Kenyans, casting your vote in favour of Azimio La Umoja– One Kenya Alliance on August 9, 2022, is merely a prelude to a larger settlement for all of Kenya.
It is a resolution that will free you from the shackles of economic hurt and bring down the cost of living; deliver free and comprehensive healthcare for all; end rampant corruption and impunity; provide free quality education up to the university level and most importantly, provide security to all Kenyans no matter which part of the country you live in. Hakika Tutaweza.
The Azimio La Umoja– One Kenya Alliance Movement is a crusade unlike any other in our nation’s history and; it is spearheaded by our Second Liberation heroes namely Raila Amolo Odinga and Martha Wangari Karua. Hakika Tutaweza.
Our Team Captain is the embodiment of the phrase: “… if you don’t at first succeed, try and try again.”
There are well-documented reasons why the former Prime Minister has yet to occupy the Office of the President.
Each time though, he has dusted himself off, packed away the disappointments and continued to offer himself in service to the People of Kenya.
Raila Amolo Odinga keeps trying; and this time, he will – with your 15 Million Strong votes – become the Fifth President of the Republic of Kenya.
My Fellow Kenyans, I have faith that the majority of Kenyans are firm believers in the Azimio La Umoja– One Kenya Alliance movement and its promise.
I have every confidence that when you tick the box that reads Raila Amolo Odinga for President and Martha Wangari Karua for Deputy President, you will be voting to secure your future.
