Depression and other mental illnesses have been linked to suicide.

As students continue with their studies, they are constantly depressed and stressed.

This may in turn cause poor performance and character change.

Students may end up doing things that do not abide by school rules making them get suspended.

In recent days, depression has caused some campus students to die by suicide.

Many students in colleges fight depression on their own and are unable to share with others.

Campus relationships are also depressing at times. This happens when students find out their partners have affairs with other people.

On this matter, some students have gone to a level where they decide to revenge through violence.

In many cases, students have reportedly killed their partners.

Let's help them open up on issues they are facing.

The current economic trend in the country is affecting both pupils and students.

Most of them are unable to get food resulting in poor performance, especially for those at lower levels of education.

This depression comes from the stress they get from several circumstances.

Students should be guided occasionally in methods of dealing and coping with stress.

This is through setting up guiding and counselling offices in our institutions.

Students should find it easy in sharing their problems with their fellow students, as they may offer solutions.

Also, students should be warned about taking revenge against their partners since it is also punishable by the law.

This can help to reduce the cases of students killing their colleagues.

Stress endangers one’s mental health, and we should all be at the forefront of helping anyone involved
