As the United States President, Donald Trump, and First Lady Melania made their way into the United Nations Headquarters on Tuesday, September
23, the escalator the two were using alongside other officials came to an
abrupt stop.
The incident was not taken lightly by Trump, who termed it sabotage, and some of the senior officials in his administration, including
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, called for the dismissal of anyone found
culpable of deliberately stopping the escalator.
