The girl who impressed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua during the Akorino National Prayers Conference in Nakuru on June 9 Sunday has joined Utawala Academy, Nairobi.

The Deputy President took to social media on Monday to announce Princess Angel’s new school.

“A gifted and brilliant poet, Princess has opened a new chapter in achieving her dream of becoming a heavyweight lawyer. We wish the little Princess the very best in her studies,” he said on X, formerly Twitter.

Gachagua had promised to sponsor the education needs of Angel after hosting her at his official Karen residence in Nairobi.

During the event in Nakuru, Angel recited a poem for President William Ruto.

On Tuesday, Gachagua and Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi met Angel and her mother Ann Kariuki for breakfast, at their official residence in Karen.

"We have secured an admission at Utawala Academy, Nairobi, for the 11-year-old Princess to continue shaping and sharpening her skills," he said after the meeting.

"I will take care of her education needs until she becomes the heavyweight Lawyer she desires to be."

The DP described Princess Angel as a talented, bold and sharp young girl.

He said her prowess in language and poetry is a talent which they want to propel her to full potential.
