Police are investigating an incident in which a herder aged 18 was stabbed and killed in an argument in Bangale, Tana River County.

Muhammad Mohammed Adhen was stabbed to death by a person well-known to him while grazing camels in the area.

His brother and other herders carried the body to the local police station and made the report of the incident on Sunday.

The body was moved to Mwingi Level Four Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

The hunt for the said assailant is ongoing, police said adding they are yet to know the motive of the murder.

Elsewhere in Laare, Meru County, the body of one Andrew Mithika, 38 was found in his home after suspected murder.

Police said the deceased had an injury on his left leg.

According to police, it was alleged that the deceased was murdered by two known people who had gone into hiding.

The body was moved to Maua General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

No arrest has been made so far, police said on Tuesday.

In Kinna, Isiolo County, Kanchora Okichar Buki, a 55-year-old man died after a branch of a tree he was cutting fell on him.

Herders at Dalelgobo area discovered the body dangling between tree branches.

He was still holding an axe on his arm and had already pruned several branches that were to be allegedly used for his farm fencing posts when he was fatally injured.

Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man was found dead after a suspected suicide incident in Ganze, Kilifi.

The body of Hance Baraka Yaa, 34 was found hanging from the roof with a rope tied around his neck inside his house.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

Cases of suicide have been on the rise in the past months and most them are linked to trauma in society.
